Origami Crease Pattern (Easy Paper Folds with Pictures)
Origami Crease Pattern Instructions Step By Step Tutorial
To the eager beginner, this may seem a bit tedious, but knowing how to draw a precise crease is crucial. A single mistake at the beginning of a series will cause all subsequent creases to be out of alignment, resulting in an awkward and ugly design.
The fundamental rule is quite easy to understand. Continue rotating or flipping the paper over such that each crease runs across your body from left to right, or left to right, if you’d prefer, and that the portion of the paper that folds over when the crease is made moves away from your body rather than toward it or to one side.
Rotate the paper such that the creases on a diagram run from left to right when you notice them. Turn the paper over or open it up inside to create a valley fold when you see a mountain fold sign, and then turn it over again.
Creases shouldn’t be thought of as tasks that must be performed in order to finish a design. According to some experts, the enjoyment of origami comes more from creating creases and manipulating paper than from creating a finished pattern. Give yourself some time to enjoy folding.
