Origami Chick Instructions Step By Step (with Pictures)
Origami Easter Chick having completed this design, you will see how, in origami terms, a chick could be said to be a blob with a beak. Once this is understood it becomes a relatively easy challenge for a paper folder to design a chick. Have a go yourself. Make a clutch of chicks and some Easter Bunnies to make a centerpiece for the dining table, or use one or two to decorate the top of an Easter cake.
PAPER AND IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT’S
You have to take light yellow paper 4 in. (10 cm) square for each Chick
Origami Chick Easy (Baby Chicken)
STEP NUMBER 1 Fold B to C crease and unfold. Then fold A to D and pinch in the middle to mark to center point of the square. Unfold. Fold down A to a point a little above the center of the square.
STEP NUMBER 2 Fold A back up to the crease just made
STEP NUMBER 3 Fold D to A
STEP NUMBER 4 Fold D back along the line of the crease mad in step 2
STEP NUMBER 5 Fold in the left-hand sloping edges of the two triangles so that A and D lie along the creases mode in Steps 2 and 4.
STEP NUMBER 6 Fold in half taking B around back to lie behind C. Do not flatten A and D let them spring forward
STEP NUMBER 7 Pull A and D to the left to make slopping creases like those made in step 5
STEP NUMBER 8 The paper is now same both front and back
STEP NUMBER 9 Fold the bottom corner E backwards and forwards along a diagonal line to make a flexible crease, as shown.
STEP NUMBER 10 Moving B and C slightly apart, press E inwards between F and G, forming a reverse fold along the creases made in Step 9.
STEP NUMBER 11 Push in H to form a reverse fold, which blunts the chick’s head.
STEP NUMBER 12 Curl the tail end of the Chick by rolling the ends around a pencil to give it a rounded shape and to finish it off
STEP NUMBER 13 You have successfully completed Chick.
